Day 2, 22-Jan: Arrive Hanoi

Day 3, 23-Jan : Hanoi (AB, L, D)

Vestiges of colonial buildings and temples blend a dynamic, modern culture in Hanoi. Discover the Temple of Literature, an 11th century center for Confucian learning and powerful symbol for the Vietnamese. Continue on to the lotus-shaped One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Ho Chi
Minh’s Stilt House. Stroll along the winding lanes of the Old Quarter, a shopping venue since the 15th century, and enjoy a traditional water puppet performance. Overnight at Hanoi Crown Plaza.

Day 4, 24-Jan: Hanoi - Halong Bay (AB, L, D)

Enjoy the morning free at leisure until we board our coach to the mysterious Halong Bay, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Overnight at Halong Royal Lotus

Day 5, 25-Jan: Halong Bay (AB, L, D)

Board a traditional long-tail boat and cruise along the emerald waters of Halong Bay, past jagged limestone islands and nature-hewn karst formations. More than 3000 incredible islands rise from the waters of the Gulf of Tonkin, creating a breathtaking landscape evocative of traditional Chinese and Vietnamese paintings. Enjoy lunch aboard, then zigzag our way through the maze of islands to explore their hidden grottoes and caves of stalagmites and incredible rock formations. Stop and explore Titov island before we head back. Overnight at Halong Royal Lotus

Day 6, 26-Jan:Halong Bay - Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City (AB,L)

Drive back to Hanoi via motorcoach and catch a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, the remainder of the day is spent free at leisure to explore the city or relax at the hotel.  Overnight at Saigon Pullman

Day 7, 27-Jan: Ho Chi Minh City (AB, L)

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, or Saigon, a lively metropolis where emerging modernity coexists with ancient pagodas and colonial buildings. Take an excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground network that provided a stronghold close to the city. Stretching over 124 miles and dug by hand, this incredible network connected command posts, shelter and hospitals. Walk through the area and learn about the day-to-day life of the Vietcong and venture inside the tunnels for a firsthand experience. After exploring the tunnels, enjoy the remainder of the day free at leisure. Overnight at Saigon Pullman

Day 8, 28-Jan: Ho Chi Minh City - Siem Reap - Angkor (AB, D)

Embark on a full-day sightseeing tour, beginning with a visit to the Reunification Palace, most notable for its symbolic role in the fall of Saigon in 1975. Continue on to the War Remnants Museum to browse the extensive collection of weapons, tanks, photos and documentation from the Vietnam-American War. Afterwards, drive to the historic city center to visit the Emperor of Jade Pagoda, followed by visits to the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, the ornate City Hall and the Opera House. End the day’s sightseeing at Ben Thanh Market, then take an afternoon flight to Siem Reap.  $30 visa upon arrival. Overnight at Siem Reap Sokha

Day 9, 29-Jan: Angkor, Cambodia (B, L)

Today we encounter the Cambodia’s crown jewel, the magnificent Angkor Wat (“Temple that is a City”). The most breathtaking and best-preserved of the Khmer temples, the temple complex is the world’s
largest religious monument. Continue on to the fortified city of Angkor Thom and discover the Terrace of Elephants, the Terrace of Leper Kings, the ruined Baphuon, the Royal Enclosure and  Phimeanakas. Admire the marvelous bas-relief murals in the Bayon, then watch the sunset over the Cambodian
countryside from atop an ancient Angkorian temple. Overnight at Siem Reap Sokha

Day 10, 30-Jan: Angkor (B, L,D)

Visit the most romantic of the temples of Angkor, Ta Prohm. Enveloped by jungle foliage, the temple was the only one left in its ruinous state by early archaeologists. This dynamic temple, a favorite for many, looks as it did when the first explorers discovered Angkor in the 19th century. Continue on to explore Ta Keo, Chau Say Tevoda and Les Chantiers Ecole, a vocational handicraft center aimed to preserve traditional Cambodian culture and artisanry. Take a tour of the stone sculpture and woodcarving workshops and watch the artisans at work. Overnight at Siem Reap Sokha

Day 11, 31-Jan: Angkor- Bangkok (B,DH)

Fly to Bangkok. Thailand’s Capital and inspirational “City of Angels”. Greeted by your local guide and transfer to hotel. Tonight enjoy a fabulous Welcome Thai Premier Set Dinner at the Benjarong Restaurant at your hotel, the Dusit Thani. Take your seat for an array of mouth watering modern Thai dishes.
