Day 3: SEPT. 15, 2018

ARRIVAL IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Upon arrival in Sydney you will be met by the local guide who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel and check in for the next three nights. Enroute to the hotel group will stop at the Botanical Gardens and enjoy a private guided aboriginal heritage tour walk, at the end of the walk re-board your coach for the transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

SYDNEY – SIGHTSEEING

Breakfast at the hotel and then group will have a Sightseeing City Tour including a visit to the Opera House and an afternoon Harbour Cruise.

Day 5: SEPT. 17, 2018

SYDNEY – FULL DAY BLUE MOUNTAINS TOUR – SYDNEY B

Breakfast at the hotel and then group will have a full day private tour to the Blue Mountains including the Featherdale Wildlife Park. Included is a Discovery Pass offers unlimited experience on the Railway, Skyway, Cableway and walkway while at the Blue Mountains.

Day 6: SEPT. 18, 2018

SYDNEY – ALICE SPRINGS BY FLIGHT

Breakfast at the hotel and then group will settle any bill they may have accumulated. Then group will check out and will be transferred to the airport for their onward flight to Alice Springs. Upon arrival in Alice Springs you will be met by the local guide who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel and check in for the next two night. Enroute, you will have a private sightseeing tour which covers many

Day 7: SEPT. 19, 2018

ALICE SPRINGS – MORNING ABORIGINAL DREAMTIME TOUR B

Breakfast at the resort and then group will be taken on an Aboriginal Dreamtime & Bush tucker Tour. Central Australian Aboriginal Tours offer an authentic cultural experience on specially designed hands-on tours for those wanting to learn about Aboriginal culture in a natural bush setting.

Day 8: SEPT. 20, 2018

ALICE SPRINGS – KINGS CANYON

Breakfast at the hotel and then group will settle any bill they may have accumulated. Then group will check out and will be transferred to Kings Canyon.

Depart Alice Springs this morning by private coach and travel west along Larapinta Drive to Kings Canyon via Standley Chasm and Simpsons Gap. Once at Kings Canyon the views from the Canyon rim are magnificent. It’s amazing how places as grand as Kings Canyon and Ayers Rock also guard smaller, sensitive pockets created by nature and man. In the case of Ayers Rock there are sacred Aboriginal sites, while at Kings Canyon there is the Garden of Eden and the Lost City.

This afternoon explore the boulder-strewn Canyon floor on the easier 2.6km Kings Creek Walk. The Kings Creek Walk meanders up the centre of the canyon to a lookout point on the left hand side of the valley, which affords a view of the sheer cliff face at the end of the canyon. This walk is suitable for all ages and requires only a moderate level of fitness.

On arrival, check into the hotel for one night. Evening at leisure.

Day 9: SEPT. 21, 2018

KINGS CANYON – AYERS ROCK

Breakfast at the hotel and then group will settle any bill they may have accumulated. Then group will check out and will transfer from Kings Canyon to Ayers Rock including morning visit to Canyon.

Rim Walk – This morning make the rocky climb to the rim of the Canyon to be rewarded with spectacular views. The 6kms Rim Walk may take up to 3 hours and is for the energetic. The Rim Walk begins with a challenging 500-step climb. Upon reaching the summit marvel at the breathtaking views of Watarrka National Park and into the canyon itself before descending into the green oasis of the ‘Garden of Eden’.
After the Rim Walk, we travel across the desert to Ayers Rock (approx. 4 hrs). In this region of the Northern Territory, you will be inspired by some of Australia’s most significant natural attractions, the most famous of all being Ayers Rock/Uluru.

Upon arrival in Ayers Rock, you will be dropped off at your hotel. Check in for one night.
Afternoon Kata Tjuta & Sunset Tour – This afternoon we travel to the Olgas also known in the Aboriginal language as “Kata Tjuta” translated as “many heads”.

Day 10: SEPT. 22, 2018

AYERS ROCK – CAIRNS BY FLIGHT

Breakfast at Ininti Café and the group will have a Sunrise and Base tour followed by a Dot painting workshop.

It is an early start this morning to view sunrise over Uluru (Ayers Rock). This is a unique time of the day in the desert and should not be missed. After sunrise enjoy breakfast at the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre before continuing on with the Base Tour.

Join one or more of the Anangu artists for a fun introduction to Western Desert Art. Your Anangu Artist and workshop host will provide an introduction to Anangu culture and show how this is expressed in our artworks. Join the artist to complete your own painting, which you can take home as a memento of your experience. The tour concludes back at the hotel for your Dot Painting workshop before the transfer to Airport.

Later you will check out of the hotel and then be transferred to the airport for your onward flight to Cairns.

Upon arrival in Cairns you will be picked up and transferred to the hotel to check in for the next three nights.

CAIRNS – GREEN ISLAND ECO ADVENTURE

Breakfast at the hotel and then group will be picked up for their Great Adventures Green Island Eco Adventure to the Great Barrier Reef which departs at 08.30 AM & Returns choice of – 12.00pm, 2:30pm or 4:30pm.

Breakfast at the hotel and then group will be collected for a Full Day Kuranda, famous for its indigenous culture, legends, lifestyle and art & crafts markets. Evening at own leisure.

Day 13: SEPT. 25, 2018

CAIRNS – AUCKLAND

Breakfast at the hotel and then in time group will check out and will be transferred back to the airport for your onward flight to Auckland for your extension to New Zealand.

On arrival in Auckland you will be met by local guide and transferred by private coach to your accommodation.

Check in for one night and spend the day at your leisure until tonight.

Day 14: SEPT. 26, 2018

AUCKLAND TO ROTORUA VIA WAITOMO

Breakfast at the hotel and then check out and travel from Auckland to Rotorua via Waitomo. This morning meet your driver at the hotel for the journey to Waitomo Caves and the thermal wonderland of Rotorua.

Travel south along the Auckland motorway to the Bombay Hills, and head into the farming province of Waikato. Your coach follows the Waikato River, New Zealand’s longest, through Hamilton and Otorohanga to Waitomo. Arrive at Waitomo for a guided tour through the spectacular Waitomo Caves and an underground boat ride through the famous ‘Glowworm Grotto’.

At the end of the tour re-board the coach and continue our travels via Lake Karapiro and the Fitzgerald Glade to arrive in Rotorua. You will be given free time for lunch along the way (lunch at own expense). The tour concludes at your hotel in Rotorua. The rest of the day is at leisure.

On arrival, check in for the next two nights. The rest of your afternoon/ evening is at your own leisure.

Day 15: SEPT. 27, 2018

ROTORUA TOURING

After breakfast commence your Rotorua sightseeing visiting various main attractions.
First stop we visit Te Puia, New Zealand’s living Maori cultural centre, situated in the Whakarewarewa Geothermal
Valley. Te Puia’s 60 hectare site is home to the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, a live kiwi enclosure, the world-famous Pohutu Geyser, and more than 500 geothermal wonders. With land steeped in ancestral history, and a guiding legacy that stretches back to the 1800s, Te Puia offers unique hospitality and rich cultural heritage. Next we visit the World Famous Agrodome for an authentic farm experience. The Sheep show will take you through a fascinating insight into the world of New Zealand agriculture. During this multi award winning show you will be entertained and informed as a real kiwi shearer (black singlet and all) presents 19 breeds of champion sheep, shears a sheep using the world record Bowen technique, works noisy Huntaway and silent Strong-Eyed dogs and completes the NZ dog trial. Have the opportunity to milk a cow and feed a lamb. At the end of the visit continue with your coach seeing some of the local sights before concluding the tour back at the hotel.
At the end of the tour you have the rest of the day at own leisure.

Day 16: SEPT. 28, 2018

ROTORUA – HOBBITON – AUCKLAND

Breakfast at the hotel and then check out. Group will be picked up and travel from Rotorua to Auckland via Hobbiton by private coach and travel across the scenic Mamaku Ranges and through the native Fitzgerald Glade before arriving in the Waikato region and the rolling hills of “The Shire”. The reason why this area was chosen for The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings is readily apparent as you arrive at The Shires Rest Cafe and commence your tour of The Hobbiton Movie Set. Drive through a picturesque 1,250 acre working sheep farm (there are 13,000 sheep and 300 beef cattle on the property) with spectacular views across to the Kaimai Ranges.

The Hobbiton Movie Set has been returned to its natural state however, hobbit holes and some structures from the film set are still present. Your tour guide will escort you through the ten acre site recounting fascinating details on how the Hobbiton movie set was created. At the end of the tour lunch will be included before continuing the journey to Auckland.

AUCKLAND DEPARTURE
